I have hosted more dinner parties than I can count. And the thing I have learned — is that a beautiful table does something to people before a single dish is served.

It tells them they were worth the effort.

That is really what it comes down to. When someone walks into your home and sees a table that has been set with intention — real linens, something thoughtful in the center, the kind of care that says I thought about you before you arrived — they relax in a way that no amount of good food or good wine can manufacture. The table sets the tone for everything that follows.

I started KF HOME because I couldn't find what I was looking for. I wanted table linens that felt the way my clothes feel — intentional, beautiful, made with real fabric and real care. Not the kind of napkin you fold into a pocket and forget about. The kind you notice. The kind your guests pick up and touch and ask about.

So I made them myself.

Each KF Home piece is handmade in small runs in my Chicago studio — the same studio where I design my clothing collections. The same eye, the same standard, the same belief that beautiful things matter. I choose the fabrics the way I choose everything — slowly, deliberately, only when something stops me and makes me want to touch it.

The Heirloom Napkin came from exactly that moment. I held it up to the light and knew immediately. That one.
